We recommend you join on @CubingLifeAcademy’s Youtube Live. The video of the stream will be kept public for at least one week after it has aired, but may be removed afterwards.
If Youtube is not available in your region, you may also join using this Zoom link.
Submitting solves for analysis
For many streams, we welcome audience members to submit videos of solves to be analyzed during the stream by the host. If you would like to participate, please upload the video with scrambles and submit it to our email (info@cubing.life) at least one day before the stream. Make sure to include the title of the stream in your email.
The video must follow the below guidelines:
- The cube must be clearly visible, ideally from an angle close to a first person point of view and with sufficient lighting.
- Clearly show the scrambles and scramble state before solving.
- Providing a reconstruction will increase your chances of being selected for analysis
- Not contain any inappropriate content
July 18th: Special Guest Yusheng Du – How 3.47s changed my life, cubing in China and the World
Yusheng Du (杜宇生) is a speedcuber from China, legendary for his 3.47 second World Record single which stood for 5 years as the longest held record in the history of cubing. He is now a full-time cuber with his own cube brand under MoYu (Huameng) and cubing academy Yushen Cube.
In this stream, Antoine and Yusheng will bring you through the history of the record that rocked the community and dive deep into what it changed for Yusheng. Finally, they will share their thoughts on the current state and future of cubing in China, and the impact on the world of cubing. July 22nd: Tommy Cherry - 3x3 Blindfolded viewer solve analysis and example solves
Tommy is a world-class speedcuber, widely considered to be the world’s fastest at solving the Rubik’s Cube Blindfolded. He currently holds the World Record, with a single fastest time of 12.00 seconds and best average time of 14.15 seconds, breaking the World Record 10 times in this category!

July 9th: Benjamin Kyle - Speed solving the Pyraminx Layer by Layer
Ben has broken the World Record single for Pyraminx, and known for his highly efficient solves. He currently offers courses with Cubing Life focused on Pyraminx, in addition to beginner/intermediate level courses for 3x3.
In this stream, Ben will start by going through the beginner’s method for Pyraminx. After covering the basics, he’ll explore some more advanced aspects, demonstrate some bonus algorithms and explain how far you can go using Layer by Layer. June 20th: Special Guest Kian Mansour – S’up with you and with ROUX?
Kian is the first cuber to break a World Record using the Roux method, setting a ground-breaking 9.54 one-handed average in 2018. His tremendous contributions have set the foundation for the modern Roux movement, which is increasingly positioning Roux as the top method for one-handed solving.
In this stream, Antoine and Kian will catch up on cubing in their lives, discuss the state of the Rouxvolution and share advice for those interested in the method. Finally, Kian will take us through an analysis of the recent one-handed World Record average by Sean Villanueva, done with Roux. June 5th: How to be a good all-round cuber and maintain high rankings in many events [Tommy Cherry]
Tommy is well known for his exploits in Blindfolded soling and Clock, which he teaches at Cubing Life Academy. What you may not know is that Tommy has competed in all 17 WCA events, and is ranked top 250 in the World in ALL 37 official categories!
In this stream, Tommy will go through what are, in his view, the key aspects of being a strong all-rounder and achieving such good results in many different categories.
