Cubing Life Academy was founded in 2024 by CEF Montreal and speedcuber Antoine Cantin.
We aim to both support the next generation of cubers through professional courses & coaching, as well as top cubers by fairly compensating them for sharing their skills!

Antoine is an accomplished speedcuber. In fact, he is the Canadian with the most official World Records: including holding three World Records in 3×3 Rubik’s Cube one-handed in 2014-2015 (10.87 seconds average time) and breaking the World Record for solving 3×3 Rubik’s Cube blindfolded in 2018 (21.18 seconds average time), though not keeping it for more than a day.
Cubing since 2010, Antoine has long been involved in the cubing community, contributing to countless competitions and events. Recently moving China in 2022 and exposed to the phenomenon of cubing education, Antoine was inspired to team up with CEF Montreal to create Cubing Life Academy and bring similar benefits close to home.
Antoine is not currently teaching any group classes, but is available for online coaching.

Benjamin is a speedcuber with a specialty in the Pyraminx cube, of which he broke multiple Canadian and North-American records, as well as the World Record with a single time of 1.28 seconds in 2017. He is also a knowledgeble and accomplished in many other World Cube Association events, racking up many wins and podiums in the 2×2, 3×3 and Skewb categories.
A student in Computer Science & Math at McGill University in Montreal, Ben is teaching both in-person and online courses. His courses include beginner and intermediate levels of the standard 3×3 cube, as well as courses about small cubes.

Ben is generally available both on weekdays and weekend evenings.

Tommy is a world-class speedcuber, widely considered to be the world’s fastest at solving the Rubik’s Cube Blindfolded. He currently holds the World Record, with a single fastest time of 12.00 seconds and best average time of 14.15 seconds, breaking the World Record 10 times in this category. He has also recently broken the World Record in the Rubik’s Clock category. Overall, Tommy is extremely accomplished in all 17 official World Cube Association categories, and is currently ranked 3rd in the world for combined ranking in all categories.
A student at Florida State University, Tommy is not available for in-person classes in Montreal. However, he will be teaching multiple advanced level online classes, for advanced 3×3 Rubik’s Cube solving, Blindfolded solving at for the Rubik’s Clock.

Tommy is currently available mostly on Weekends and Weekday afternoons, evenings and late into the night. Weekends typically work better.
Patrick is a long time world-class speedcuber, highly skilled in many events. Some of his titles include the World Record 3×3 single (4.69 seconds), three time World Record for one-handed average and 2019 3×3 USA National Champion. He is also highly ranked in 4×4, 5×5 and 6×6, currently top 16 in the world for each event.
Currently studying in the Netherlands, Patrick’s schedule is particularly suited for students located in Europe. He is eager to analyze your solves and coach you to the top!
Patrick’s main strengths include: F2L solutions and look-ahead improvement (3×3 Two-Handed), One-Handed Solving (Turning and Efficiency), Yau Method on 4×4-7×7

Patrick is available mostly on weekdays, but weekends may also work.

Elliott is a speedcuber from Montreal, Canada specializing in blindsolving. He is currently ranked top 10 in the World for all four blindsolving events and holds 9 Championship podiums. In 2023, he broke the World Record for 3×3 Blindfolded Mean of 3 with a time of 15.05 seconds, solidifying his place as an elite modern blindsolver. Elliott’s guiding principles lie in developing second-nature through deep understanding of fundamentals, all while always keeping an open mind to exploring and experimenting with new ideas. Other than cubing, Elliott is an avid Jazz Pianist, golfer, and programmer.
Elliott is currently a student in Statistics & Computer Science at McGill in Montreal, available for both in-person and online courses.

Elliott is available on weekends, as well as most weekday afternoons/evenings.
Brian is a speedcuber who specializes in Square-1 and 2×2 solving but competes at a high level in many other events. He has broken two North American records, being 2×2 single in 2014 (0.95 seconds) and Skewb average in 2017 (3.20 seconds). Additionally, Brian achieved a 1.18 2×2 average in 2022, which ranked him 2nd in the world. He has also reached the 3×3 final round in his last two North American Championships. He currently has a top 100 ranking for eight different events.
Recently graduating with a degree in Data Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Brian is only able to coach online. He is most passionate about Square-1 solving, but is able to teach 3×3, 2×2, 3×3 One-Handed, and 3×3 Fewest Moves (FMC).

Brian is available on weekdays, from late morning to late afternoon.
